Nuclear power is the fifth-largest source of electricity in India after coal, gas, wind and hydroelectricity.  

Currently, our nation has 22 nuclear reactors with 6780MW of installed capacity, and 5 under construction nuclear power plants with an estimated 8000 MW capacity.
